We are looking for a Group Communications Advisor to join the Group Communications team with a passion for external and internal communications, to help achieve Subsea 7’s objectivesYou’ll promote and protect Subsea 7’s reputation as a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services, and position Subsea 7 as the industry’s partner and employer of choice for the evolving energy industry.

The Group Communications Advisor is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Group’s communications strategy in line with corporate objectives, communications processes and brand guidelines, ensuring messaging and activities are consistent and engaging. 

 

Typical Key responsibilities:  

External

  • Support the development and implementation of Subsea 7’s external communications strategy and communications plan to achieve our growth ambitions, in line with company strategy
  • Supporting day-to-day maintenance, and development of Subsea 7’s official digital communications channels including social media and website
  • Content creation for official communication channels
  • Development of marketing communications materials and campaigns
  • Creation and updating of marketing and communications collateral and materials including case studies, data sheets, videos, presentations, publications and specification sheets
  • Event management support for participation at selected exhibition conferences/events globally and internal events
  • Media relations support for the production, publication and review of press releases, stock market announcements and features, including management of media enquiries
  • Stock market announcement support including publication of contract awards, quarterly results and other announcements in line with stock market obligations and timings
  • Create and maintain inventory of on and offline external branded materials
  • Brand management – ensures communications activities consistently adhere to brand guidelines
  • When required, to be hands-on in supporting aspects of the development and implementation of Subsea 7’s internal communications activities and other corporate activities, in line with company strategy

Other

  • Provide communications advice and support to regions, business areas and corporate functions
  • Liaise with relevant suppliers and agencies – creative design agencies, web agencies, video producers, exhibition contractors, ER consultants, media, writers. Including client and partner communications teams and other relevant interfaces.
  • Supporting member of the Global Emergency Response team
  • Content management of Subsea 7 image library
  • Budget management support including management of team purchase orders, supply chain management paperwork
  • Other projects and activities as required
  • Occasional travel may be required

 

Capability profile / Qualifications:

  • Creative, flexible and adaptable to suit nature of working in fast moving global communications environment
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working under own direction
  • High degree of computer literacy, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Events Live, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience essential
  • Graphics design skills and experience with Adobe graphics packages preferable
  • Ability to tailor communications to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally
  • Strong project management and planning skills to manage multiple stakeholders and concurrent projects
  • Experience of working in a large multinational company
