POSITION OVERVIEW

The HSEQ Advisor forms part of the Projects & Offshore Operations (P&OO) HSEQ team and is responsible for advertising and guiding on various aspects of HSEQ activity that support the business. 

It is considered that this will predominately focus on Quality Management Systems (QMS), with additional support into Safety Management Systems (SMS).   Our ideal candidate will therefore possess a significant understanding of ISO 9001 standards and principles.

The role will assist with the collation and maintenance of audit schedules, critical group and function quality assurance related tasks, identifying process improvements and gap analysis within management systems and functions.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with company assurance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality policies, process and procedures.
  • Ensure application of all Quality policies, processes and procedures by Functions to deliver a Predictable Performance and outcome.
  • Provide quality business partnering and advice to internal and external stakeholders in relations to all P&OO related Quality matters.
  • Utilise the knowledge management tools available to assist Quality to capitalise from lessons learned and to perform in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently.
  • Investigate and report on HSEQ incidents identifying the failings in the system leading to loss.
  • Remedy of Quality Systems failings to ensure repetition of failings is eliminated.
  • Promote continual improvement and quality awareness within projects, functions and departments.
  • Quality plan development, maintenance and implementation.
  • Regular review and audit of quality plan implementation.
  • Support and participate in internal certification audits, ISM, ISO, Vessel Assurance and ISPS audits.
  • Supplier Quality Requirements development, maintenance and implementation in sub-contracts.
  • Supplier risk / criticality assessments.
  • Creation of risk-based audit schedule and perform audits (internal and suppliers).
  • Manage/verify site HSEQ inspections, reporting findings and effectiveness of corrective action.
  • Non-conformity maintenance and tracking, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Tender support activities and management of tender deviations to Quality System.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant functional policies, process and procedures.
  • Worksite level HSEQ data review, analysis and trending.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • A significant understanding of ISO 9001 standards and principles.
  • Relevant experience of management systems gained within HSEQ role is preferred.
  • Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor
  • Trained in Taproot or similar tool on investigation analysis
  • International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) certified
  • Member of Chartered Quality Institute

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders, both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
