Subsea 7 recognizes the growing importance of Life Cycle Information (LCI) related to projects, and in this respect has identified the need to recruit an experienced person to take on the role as LCI Coordinator within our projects.

The LCI Coordinator will be the single point of contact for all LCI related issues on a Project. The LCI Coordinator shall establish and ensure implementation of the LCI strategy that includes Subsea 7’s as-built working methods and the Client’s as-built requirements. The LCI Coordinator will be responsible for the quality and timely compilation of the as-built dossier that shall be submitted to the client and LCI information to be archived by Subsea 7.

The position will report at functional level to Lead LCI Co-ordinator within Subsea, and on a daily basis to the relevant Project Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Verify final as-built deliverables prior handover to Company
  • Ensure that a common understanding of the LCI requirements is reached with Client representative
  • Establish LCI strategy and execution plan for the Project, including LCI milestones principles for project/contract
  • Establish and issue as-built/final documentation procedure, related registers and take lead in compiling the as-built/final documentation dossier
  • Ensure that all LCI deliverables are identified and that the project organization is aware of their responsibilities regarding as-built
  • Ensure setup of correct technical information flow and processes in the projects, including correct use of engineering numbering system for tagging and document/drawing numbering
  • Ensure that suppliers and sub-contractors are aware of the required LCI deliverables, and that all as-built deliverables are identified in ITP’s and SDR’s
  • Participate in the bid clarification meetings/kick-off with suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Take lead in the establishment of Supplier Document Instructions, i.e. standardization of LCI works with respect to structures, formats, indexes etc.
  • Establish quality control/verification of in-house and sub-contractors LCI deliverables
  • Ensure correct and informative reporting of LCI progress against LCI milestones and highlight any risk to Project Manager
  • Provide reporting of LCI progress against LCI milestones
  • Supporting continual improvement initiatives and projects to minimise waste and improve efficiency
  • Support on PTS (Pipe Tracking System) activities:
    • Identify PTS requirements and ensure that project team, suppliers and sub-contractors are aware of the required PTS deliverables
    • Assign PTS numbers if not already assigned by client (CPI)
    • Ensure correct use of PTS files according to client requirements
    • Follow up on movement of pipes and ensure that PTS files are updated with relevant information for each step in the process
    • Final handover of PTS files to Company
  •  Support on MC (Mechanical Completion) activities:
    • Ensuring MC scope is structured according to contract
    • Making sure that applicable MCCRs are available for the person that will perform the physical Mechanical Completion checks. This applies for fabrications at Subcontractors and for installation activities
    • Participate in SCM process to ensure contract flow down of MC requirements to Suppliers
    • Providing training to relevant project personnel
    • Overseeing that signed off MCCRs are entered into Company systems, together with the supporting documents (if required) to verify the MC
    • Making sure that the punch items are closed out by responsible person in Company systems

Qualifications:

  • Ideally Degree qualified and minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the subsea or offshore industry would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Proarc is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Personal skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision
  • Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions
  • Clear and effective oral and written communications skills in both Norwegian and English
  • Structured and organised with good attention to details
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Able to motivate and contribute to a positive working environment
