Senior Pre-Commissioning Engineer

Location: Filyos- Turkey

Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.

Overview

GPC pre-commissioning discipline is currently based in three sites: Kuala Lumpur, Sutton and Suresnes.

For one of his ongoing projects, Subsea 7 is looking for a Senior Pre-commissioning Engineer consultant for coordinating Pre-Commissioning activities for pipeline and umbilical scopes.

The position is located in Turkey, shared between onshore field and Istanbul’s office during preparation phase and offshore/onshore during installation phase. This position might require other local and overseas travel.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Client needs and drivers
  • Understand contract structure, split and limits of responsibilities between the various stakeholders
  • Contribute to project Engineering reviews on all subjects associated to (or at the interface with), the pre-commissioning and commissioning scope
  • Participate in HAZIDS/HIRAs, supplier audits and make relevant recommendations
  • Witness function testing of supplier equipment
  • Participate and coordinate specific trials and offshore/onshore operations, as required
  • Supervise the implementation, revision, follow up of the overall equipment mobilization lists and insure delivery on site as per schedule
  • Coordinate and support onsite mobilization and demobilization
  • Follow sub-contractors
  • Prepare and supervise onsite toolbox talks
  • Onsite management of 3rd party subcontractors at Subsea 7 fabrication sites and offshore vessels as required
  • Report to project Pre-Commissioning Lead
  • Oversee Junior Engineer onsite.

Role Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification plus at least 6 years relevant experience in EPCI/SURF project.
  • Broad experience and expertise in pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning scopes.
  • Experience of working onsite and offshore as part of a project team.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplined and multicultural team
  • Ability to work within time and strict deadline constraints
  • Produces work of presentable quality
  • Good organisational and reporting skills
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience in similar position.

Working Conditions:

  • Majority of the work is carried out on field– Turkey
  • 5 days a week during preparation phase
  • Travels for meetings as required
  • Offshore and Onshore activities follow-up
  • Working hours according to local regulation and Company's policy.
