OFFICE LOCATION: Saudi Arabia

TYPE OF CONTRACT: 1 year contract - renewable

We provide project management, engineering and construction expertise across the full field lifecycle. These services are delivered within three operational business units: Subsea and Conventional, Life of Field, and Renewables and Heavy Lifting.

Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.

  1. DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION
  • The Environmental Graduate shall assist with the development and implementation of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of Subsea 7’s, and its applicable Clients, overall environmental strategies.
  • The Environmental Graduate shall provide full assistance and support at a Project level but shall also fully support the function (HSE) as and when required.
  • All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ Culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local / legal HSEQ Codes & Practices along with applicable Client requirements.
  • All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity and adherence to our ‘Code of Conduct’ and full understanding and compliance to our ‘Values’.
  1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DEVELOPMENT AREAS
  • Leads a positive HSE Culture and Behaviour across the business and particularly within their sphere of influence
  • Champions the Subsea 7 Critical Safety Behaviour Programme, setting the tone and leading by example
  • Ensures compliance to all applicable HSE Policies, Processes and Procedures
  • Proactively engages with the team including the Projects and Management including the workforce to ensure alignment of the business goals
  • Shall learn and develop skills to be responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of the functions and Project’s activities within the designated area of responsibility
  • Shall complete tasks / activities as per developed HSE Activity Plan / Competency Development Plan
  • Assists with assessing progress against performance measures and ensures compliance to the approved procedures and plans
  • Develops skills to liaise with Project Management Team representatives and Client representatives on Environmental focus areas (including Health & Safety) matters when required and proactively participates in relevant HSE forums, activities, etc.
  • Ensures all Project activities meet the relevant environmental regulatory requirements along with Client requirements
  • Familiarization in the response and investigations to environmental incidents
  • Familiarization with setting Key Performance Indicators and Objectives and Targets in line with the company and also its Clients, as applicable
  • Familiarization with Synergi Case Upload, Monitoring (Project / Function) and liaison cross-functionally to ensure timely close out of identified case actions including other HSE related administrative requirements.
  • Completes all assigned HSE related internal trainings accordingly.
  1. AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS
  • Operates within the Business ‘Code of Conduct’ in line with the Company’s ‘Values’
  • Operates according to Subsea 7’s Management Principles along with conformance to the Group and Regional Procedures
  • Supports standards and procedures for the HSE function and also for the Projects

Project Scope

The Environmental Graduate shall be assigned to the ongoing Client (Saudi Aramco) CRPO 80,81 Project and where required provide full support to other areas  / Clients as and when required. He / She, apart from having a sound Environmental background, shall also be fully versed and experienced in the HSE role.

4.CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

  1. Have an understanding of region specific Environmental focus areas.
  2. Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) Skills.
  3. Possesses Strong communication and coordination skills.
  4. Is a Team Player who works well under pressure and under minimum supervision.
  5. A ‘self-starter’ who has a strong passion for HSE.
  6. Passionate about continuous development in an Environmental role.
  1. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Passionate about learning and gaining experience to work within the subsea offshore or related industry
  • Keen to develop skills to develop in order to be able to directly interface between clients, contractors, suppliers, project team members and the workforce
  1. Qualification
  • Degree / Academic Qualification in an Environmental related discipline
  • Membership of a recognised Environmental professional body (E.g. IEMA or equivalent), shall be an advantage
  • Relevant HSE Certification (NEBOSH, CSP, IOSH Membership, or equivalent) is an advantage
