Your mission

The Global Projects Centre & Asia Pacific (GPC & AP) is Subsea 7's centre of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide.

Within the "Risers, Installation Analyses, and Umbilical" (RIAU) department, you will be involved in the tender and/or project activities for either one (or more) of the following subjects:

  • Rigid Riser Design (SCR/SLWR etc.)
  • Installation Analysis of Flexibles/Umbilicals/Structures
  • Technical follow-up of the Umbilical package
  • Technical follow-up of the Flexible Pipe package
  • Technical follow-up of the Riser ancillaries (Flexible Joint, Buoyancy Modules, VIV strakes etc.)

 Mission for Rigid Riser Design and Installation Analysis

  • Develop the studies linked to the dynamic riser system / static jumper system.
  • Perform design analysis of dynamic riser with OrcaFlex (Extreme, Fatigue, Interference etc.) and static flexible jumpers (in-place analysis).
  • Perform installation analysis of flexibles, umbilical, mooring, subsea structures etc. using OrcaFlex.
  • Participate to Continuous Improvement initiative as required.
  • Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline. Attend to discipline meeting as required.

Mission for Technical Follow-up of Umbilical / Flexible Pipe / Riser Ancillaries Purchase Order

  • Understand Client needs to develop Technical Scope of Work for Suppliers.
  • Interface with SCM/Supplier to evaluate the various proposals, support the selection of the Supplier through technical bid evaluation.
  • Production and checking of design documentation from Supplier to demonstrate compliance of the selected design/proposal.
  • Ensure design is in accordance with industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides (e.g. API, DnV, ISO); Client Specifications, Scopes of Work, and Subsea 7 internal standard (BMS)
  • Maintain constant awareness of the overall project planning, ensure progress and compliance of the supplier in close interface with SCM/QC function.
  • Maintain an active follow-up of fabrications and testing, with ad-hoc mission to supplier premise.
  • Liaise with associated subsea related disciplines and understand the interfaces within a project.
  • Participate to Continuous Improvement initiative as required.
  • Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline. Attend to discipline meeting as required

 

Your profile:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant experience, preferably in Offshore industry
  • Proactively undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to drafting office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, progress reports, bid evaluations, and various 3rd-party submissions.
  • Ability to manage your time and workload.
  • Ability in interfacing with vendor and 3rd party.
  • Ability in working in multicultural group.

Working Condition

  • Majority of the work is carried out in the regional main office site - Sutton.
  • Offshore / Off-site location during project Execution phase as required.
  • Working hours according to local regulation and Company's policy
