  • Will you be part of the ongoing game changing; including further development of our knowledge for valves within carbon capture and hydrogen applications?
  • Subsea 7 needs to increase the engineering capacity with focus on subsea valves and is looking for experienced engineers to be part of the Subsea Structures Team based in the Stavanger office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be technically responsible for subsea valve procurement
  • Support studies and projects for valve design evaluation, selection, costing and documentation
  • Prepare specifications/design premises, including development of valve procurement Scope of Work
  • Be familiar with company and client’s standards/procedures
  • Provide manufacturing follow-up at suppliers’ facilities, including QC site visits if applicable
  • Liaise with the relevant stakeholders; E.g. supply chain, pre-commissioning-, structural design- and fabrication discipline

Capability profile / Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering degree (Msc- or Bsc degree)
  • Strong technical knowledge within subsea valve technology. Preferably also including electrical actuation, control systems and material selection.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within technical procurement, engineering and/or design of subsea valves
  • Extended knowledge of standards for valve design, manufacturing and testing, such as NORSOK, DNV, API, ISO and ASME
  • Aligned with Subsea 7’s core values - Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Performance, Collaboration and Innovation
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision
