Do you have interest in an array of manufacturing processes and a keen eye for detail? As a Quality Advisor, you will contribute to the Quality Assurance and Quality Control within our vast supply chain, supporting projects to ensure a range of complex products are delivered ‘right first time’. The Quality Advisor provides guidance and advice in regard to the effective management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control; delivering quality management and improvement support to all projects and functions within the designated area of responsibility. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all quality policies, process and procedures
  • Assist and advise project personnel in all matters relating to the application and implementation of the company management system on project and tender work
  • Utilise the knowledge management tools available to assist quality to capitalise from Lessons Learned and to perform in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently
  • Focal point for all quality matters on designated projects
  • Non-conformity maintenance and tracking, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and identification of corrective & preventive actions.
  • Promote continual improvement and quality awareness within projects
  • Quality Plan development, maintenance, and implementation, alongside review & approval of supplier quality documentation
  • Supplier Quality Requirements development, maintenance and implementation in sub-contracts. Performing criticality assessments to define to required level of follow up of sub-contracts.
  • Project audit evaluation, creation of risk-based audit schedule and perform audits (internal and suppliers)
  • Management and control of multiple inspectors attending supplier premises to perform risk based inspections & personal site visits as required (Subsea 7 sites or suppliers).
  • Project inspection budget control – forecasting, tracking actual costs, identifying cost saving opportunities, reporting

Qualifications:

  • Good level of general education required, preferably supported by a quality or business-related diploma/degree
  • Broad depth of Quality Management knowledge
  • Industry approved auditor training
  • Broad understanding of subsea products and operations
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually. Able to motivate and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels
  • Clear and effective oral and written communications skills in both Norwegian and English. Able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
  • Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions
  • Structured and organised with good attention to details
