Position Overview

Subsea 7 are seeking Graduates for a multi discipline learning and cross functional experience and education whilst being responsible for assisting with the delivery of Welding Engineering, Materials, NDT or Coating activities, such as R&D, procedure qualification, procedure development and implementation.

The Graduate, whilst developing a greater understanding of all four departments in the technical group, will assist in the achievement of strategic objectives and best practice for the Technical Group and with specific focus for the department they are assigned to.

Position Responsibilities

Promote and ensure compliance with Pipeline Group Production’s philosophies and commitment to Subsea 7 vision and values.

Develop and provide effective interfaces

  • Build and enhance relationships between PG Production departments, wider Subsea7 and end client

Support Tender Submissions

  • Support Business Development and Commercial Department during the preparation of tender submissions and negotiations
  • Assist in developing technical solutions and prepare technical qualifications for bid to meet client enquiry
  • Assist Commercial Department to develop an accurate estimate of time, resource and materials
  • Assist in the identification of risks

Assist with the management and delivery of technical projects

  • Assist Discipline Engineers to manage Qualification and Testing activities and ensure targets are monitored and met
  • Produce documentation, schedules and procedures
  • Review and report the status and performance of projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing effective risk management solutions
  • Ensure effective communication is maintained with clients and other departments

Development of systems / procedures and delivery of excellence

  • Assist in monitoring technical developments / requirements and evaluate implications for PG Production.
  • Assist Welding Engineers to identify, develop and improve tools and systems to enable Welding Engineers to execute and deliver projects more effectively.
  • Assist with the review of lessons learned for similar projects and assist with implementing improvements for projects.

Standardisation

  • Maintain awareness of lessons learned throughout company to enable implementation in future working practices.

Development

  • Maintain material property database.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualified in relevant subject area
  • Experience of materials for oil and gas line pipe applications
