Trainee- Contracts Specialist 
Location: Al Khobar- KSA

We provide project management, engineering and construction expertise across the full field lifecycle. These services are delivered within three operational business units: Subsea and Conventional, Life of Field, and Renewables and Heavy Lifting.

Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.

 

Role Overview

The Trainee Contracts Specialist provides administrative and Contractual expertise, under supervision, in relation to allocated activities, tenders or projects either in a standalone position or as part of a Contracts team.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

Position Overview

Generic Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Operate within standardised Contracts policies, processes and systems and ensures compliance with these
    processes at all times
  • Verify that the Subsea 7 legal entity corporate governance and financial authority rules are complied with when assisting with any transaction
  • Ensure knowledge management systems are fully utilised, updated, promotes continuous improvement and contributes to Lessons Learned
  • Make a positive contribution to the Win or Execution phase of project, as assigned, following appropriate Contracts processes and procedures
  • Contribute to contract reviews, attend tender boards if required, contribute to draft contracts, request and compile required documentation
  • Monitor contractual obligations, key deliverables (to client and from contractors and subcontractors), identify risks and opportunities
  • Perform all contractual administration tasks including the preparation and review of correspondence
  • Support the Supply Chain Management (SCM) effort during Execution phase
  • Assist in the completion of correct Contractual Close Out of the project

 

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in areas such as Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Law and Engineering
  • Affiliation/member with nationally recognized professional body; if applicable
