The overview of the role of Technical Engineer (Naval  / Mechanical) is to support the Vessel Superintendents on issues requiring specialist knowledge.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Vessel Superintendents on issues specialist knowledge
  • Participate in defining and describing company operational standards.
  • Participate in design, engineering, construction and commissioning of new components or equipment
  •  Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable rules and standards.
  • Advice on technical modifications to project and vessel crew
  • Manage technical modifications
  • Attend equipment tests at manufacturer premises
  • Budget aware
  • Support Vessel Superintendents during maintenance & repair or dry dockings on site
  • Willing to travel and work outside normal office hours

Interface with:

  • Vessel superintendents
  • Department engineers
  • Project teams and vessel crews

Education, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor education in a technical subject. Preferably Naval Architecture / Offshore Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
  • Good level of English
  • A few years of solid practical engineering experience required
