Interface Manager - AMEC

Location: Paris- France

Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.

 

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Within the framework of our Projects in the AMEC region, we are looking for a Interface Manager to join our AMEC Engineering Department.

You will be in charge of the Interfaces activities on projects. The Interface Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing external relationships, implementation of systems, processes and procedures to ensure effective and timely information transfer across internal and external interfaces.

Interface are at the heart of the project and ensure the liaison between the Client, the subcontractors, the suppliers, Engineering team, ….

Reporting functionally to the AMEC Installation Engineering Manager, and operationally to the Project Manager, the Interface Manager provides expertise to ongoing projects being run from the AMEC region.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

 

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Ensure identification and management of Subsea7’s external interfaces (client, subcontractors & suppliers) and internal interfaces (Management team, Discipline Engineers and Commercial team),
  • Establish and follow Up interface planning: actively coordinate the Project Interface Register, Interface Status Reports, Technical Queries and Deviation requests as applicable,
  • Act as single point of contact between Subsea7 and the Interface Coordinators of all other organizations involved in the project,
  • Act as Client focal point for CPIs, delivery schedule updates and follow-up onsite,
  • Implement and support an Interface Management Plan and supporting systems, processes and procedures in accordance with contract guidelines & requirements,
  • Participate or chair interface coordination meetings and workshops with key internal and external interfaces to fulfil role of Project representative at meetings for Subsea7,
  • Participate in design reviews, action tracking, scheduling and risk reviews to help identify criticality of interface matters, highlighting risks and opportunities to the Project Management team,
  • Take every action and initiative to solve potential interface issues and propose favorable resolution of these, proactively and collaboratively,
  • Be familiar with all relevant contractual aspects and support Commercial team as necessary,
  • To provide an effective Interface Management Process to ensure critical issues are correctly addressed and lessons learned so that safety, quality, cost and schedule of the project remain on target.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Knowledge, Skills and experience:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification plus at least 6 years relevant experience in offshore industry,
  • Experience of working onsite and offshore as part of a project team,
  • SURF development contractual and cost awareness.

 

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Excellent ability to work within a multi-disciplined and multicultural team,
  • Shall independently evaluate, organize and prioritize work for self and others in order to meet set deadlines,
  • Ability to work within time/budget and strict deadline constraints,
  • Articulates views in comprehensive manner,
  • Produces work of presentable quality,
  • Good organizational skills and smart working methods,
  • Ability to convince,
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience in similar position.

 

Working conditions:

  • Majority of the work is carried out in the regional main office site – Suresnes,
  • 5 days a week,
  • Travels for meetings as required,
  • Working hours according to local regulation and Company's policy.
