DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
The Payroll Assistant supports the accurate and timely payments of employees through the effective and accurate management of the local payroll system.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity with Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- Provide payroll advice and guidance through sharing knowledge and expertise to the employees and management
- Interface with colleagues in HR to co-ordinate the payroll services
- Interface with colleagues in Tax to co-ordinate the payroll services
- Operate within standardised Payroll, Finance and HR policies, processes and systems
- Maintain up to date legal compliance knowledge of country specific payroll legislation where it impacts on HR processes and systems
- Support and assist for ensuring all information input into the payroll system and associated documentation for approval of all payments
- Develop and maintain good working knowledge of all systems and processes
- Constantly monitor all employees records to ensure that payroll can produce accurate and timely payments
- Responsible for inputting all relevant information into the payroll system and checking it is correct and up to date
- Responsible for managing the payroll queries inbox.
- Support the maintenance, update and archiving of payroll files and relevant payroll data
KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Preferably Diploma holder in Business Administration or equivalent
- Numerate, accurate, meticulous
- Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in a multi-national environment

- Support Standards and procedures for the Finance Function
