Technical Designer / Drawing Engineer / 3D Design Engineer

For our office in Vejle, we are looking for someone with experience in creating and maintaining 3D models using Autodesk Inventor as well as working with 2D in AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate has an eye for detail and a genuine interest in learning and understanding the operational aspects of the models and drawings created.

 

The position could be based in Vejle-Denmark, Oslo-Norway, or  Zoetermeer-Netherlands. 

Your main tasks will cover creating and maintaining 3D model(s) of our wind turbine installation vessel(s) as well as utilising these models to conduct various operational assessments as required on project-specific basis. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing vessel positioning assessments and drawings as well as various other technical 2D and 3D drawing work.

Below are some of the tasks you will be expected to perform:

  • Create and maintain 3D vessel models for project-related work
  • Prepare 2D drawings such as vessel positioning assessments and plans
  • Maintain the 2D archive of vessel and equipment models and drawings
  • Liaise with internal and external engineering and marine operation specialists
  • Perform operational 2D and 3D assessments such as clearance and lifting checks
  • Assist with modelling and drawings used in design and operational risk workshops
  • Prepare visualisations in 2D and 3D as required on project-specific basis
  • Review and utilise drawing and chart materials received from external parties
  • Ensure high quality and efficiency in own work
  • Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and clients

 

Skills AND KNOWLEDGE

Below are the desirable, but not required, skills and knowledge in our ideal candidates:

  • Superuser skills in Autodesk AutoCAD (2D) and Inventor
  • Experience with Autodesk Vault
  • Ability to process technical and engineering information, drawings and reports
  • Experience with wind turbine transport and installation
  • Experience with ship/vessel drawings and shipboard or offshore operations
  • Basic knowledge on cranes and lifting operations
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Teams
  • Fluent in English and preferably communicative in Danish

 

EDUCATION

A technical education as Technical Assistant, Technical Designer, or a higher technical education in e.g. structural or mechanical engineering, marine technology, naval architecture or similar at BSc.
