The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.

The Scheduling & Planning Manager supports the Operational Functions Director to maintain at Group level the fleet vessel schedules, mission equipment, major support vessels which work on behalf of Operational Functions, Group Sales & Marketing, the Business Units and Vessel Installation Delivery Team.

Job Function:

Reporting to the Operational Functions Director, the Scheduling Manager will provide coordination and guidance to the vessel schedule community worldwide. He/She will aim to maximize the utilization of the company fleet fulfilling BU’s requirement in maintaining overall commercial/strategic goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production of the Global vessel schedule, supporting the requirements of Commercial, Projects & Operations and Vessel Installation Delivery Teams
  • Manage the processes, tools, and continuous improvement of delivering vessel scheduling & project requirements
  • Regularly review the quality of inputs from prospects/tenders/firm work/VIDT and highlight any improvements as needed
  • Regularly challenging potential clashes and gaps across the company
  • Constantly identify potential synergies across the company and check the relevant technical as well as commercial feasibility
  • Support Commercial, Project & Operations with “what-if” scenarios, being proactive to determine solutions before clashes arise
  • Support Group Sales & Marketing for annual Budget Schedule and 5 years plan, as required
  • Providing technical expertise and maintain up to date industry knowledge
  • Interface between Seaway 7 Project Planning teams, to promote knowledge sharing & to ensure best practice tools and techniques are being applied.
  • Assist Operational Functions Director to:
    • Carry out operational and commercial evaluations of utilisation scenarios to determine the optimum vessel deployment
    • review Projects’ request to charter 3rd party vessels (i.e. check assets’ availability, propose solutions, review SCAs)
    • Support preparation of monthly Latest Thinking Forecast (LTF), deliver outputs to S&M and Finance as required, follow-up actions from meetings
    • Control and manage the Seaway 7 GVS access matrix. Ensure a consistent approach in accordance with roles and responsibilities
    • Produce and maintain the required procedures, work instructions and forms related to Group Vessel Scheduling
    • Establish and maintain a common vessel planning structure, break-down (CWBS) and code structure across the Functional Teams
    • Issue GVS weekly reports when required
    • Deal with GVS Data Steward requirement

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications and Education

General Education:

Education equal to a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Planning, Engineering or Quantity Surveying discipline. Long and relevant work experience may be considered.

Affiliation/member with nationally recognized professional body; if applicable

Experience

3 years Project planning experience is essential, either as Project Planner or as Field Engineer

Tendering and chartering experience would be preferred

Resourceful and problem-solving abilities with hands-on attitude.

A strong and decisive team leader with practical approach and good communication skills.

Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of P6 and Microsoft project (as bare minimum)

chartering international rules and contracts

Location

  • Open, however it is expected that there will be periodic global travel.
