Pipeline Group is the Business Unit within Subsea7 that delivers all of Subsea7’s rigid pipeline installation activities.  Supporting tendering and projects globally, Pipeline Group provides expertise in the fabrication and installation of rigid pipelines in Reel Lay, S-Lay and J-lay modes.

Pipeline Group is looking for motivated and self-driven Project Engineers to join the pipeline installation team based in our Stavanger office.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Follow project scope from early engagement with our internal and external clients through to offshore execution on board our reel lay assets
  • Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities and subcontract follow up, proactively support HSEQ activities and prepare and deliver technical presentations
  • Installation rigging calculations and rigging design
  • Assist Tendering department with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs and costing support
  • Supporting installation aid procurement, fabrication and testing follow up
  • Follow your scope offshore on our installation vessels

Capability profile / Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering/Marine/Naval/Offshore Technology/Civil/Mechanical or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as project engineer
  • Offshore pipeline installation experience is desirable, particularly in the reel lay discipline
  • A good mixture of practical and theoretical understanding of pipeline engineering and principals
  • Proven technical ability
  • Flexible and proactive approach to changes and challenges
  • Proactive approach to safety
  • Initiative and personal responsibility
  • Good communication skills
  • Creative mindset
  • A good team player, with the ability to work independently
