Seaway 7 is looking to recruit a Senior Project Quality Advisor into the quality team to support project execution and integrity management across the Project(s) Engineering, Procurement, Construction Installation (EPCI ) work packages and tendering activity within the UK and Asia Pacific Business Unit.

Seaway 7 Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning (EPIC) Project’s work package examples: Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Substructure Design, WTG Substructure Fabrication, Transport and Marshalling, Inter Array Cables (IAC) Design and Manufacture, IAC Installation and Test / Termination, WTG Substructure Installation, Offshore Completions (Punchlist Closeout, Asset Integrity Verification and Handover).

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Project Quality Advisor position is accountable for all project Quality activities within assigned work packages ensuring that all aspects of the work are compliant with Project Contractual requirements, Seaway 7 BMS, Regulatory and Legal requirements. The Senior Quality Advisor will also have responsibility for supervising and mentoring additional project quality resources.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Seaway 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Directs, manages and monitors all Quality activities and Quality performance within assigned tender and project work packages.
  • Supports the development and implementation of project quality assurance, management and control strategy.
  • Delivers Project Quality Plan and leads project Quality document delivery (client submissions and internal / supply chain document review)
  • Provides Quality support and direction to the Project team for assigned work packages.
  • Drives and delivers Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) quality management approach within the assigned work packages.
  • Manages quality assurance and control in relation to supplier and subcontractor evaluation, management and product / service delivery across a diverse, multi-tiered supply chain; national and international.
  • Collaboration with Engineering technical authorities i.e., Design, LV/HV Electrical, Welding & Materials, NDT and Coatings to ensure alignment with Quality requirements and deliverables.
  • Quality Control management across all project work packages including QC budget, QC resource forecasting, QC resource allocation and QC team performance management.
  • Proactive engagement with Lessons Learned capture and implementation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Management and delivery of the Audit programme within the assigned Project work package(s)
  • Deputises for the Project Quality Manager as required.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experienced Projects and Operations Quality Professional.
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in supervision and mentoring of Quality personnel within a team structure is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Standards: ISO 9000 Series, ISO 10005, BE EN 102004
  • Proven Incident Management and Investigation experience
  • Proven problem-solving skills, analytical and systematic working approach
  • Extensive knowledge and application of the Quality discipline within Projects and Operations; Renewables / Oil and Gas Sector knowledge and experience is desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Engineering Procurement Construction and Installation (EPCI) technical codes and standards as relevant to Renewables / Oil and Gas Industry is desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of contractual mechanisms applied EPCI Renewables / Oil and Gas Projects, and associated Product and Service delivery is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, IT literacy and report writing skills
  • Capable of presentation and discussion at Senior Management Level
  • Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor
