POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Communications Co-ordinator to join our Projects & Offshore Operations Communications team.  Reporting directly to the Communications Specialist you will also support the Communication Advisor to create content for our diverse audience including our global onshore population and our offshore workforce.

Based out of our Westhill office in Aberdeen, the role is full time across a 5-day week with the potential to work up to 2 days from home under our hybrid working policy.  This is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, multi-skilled and be ready to roll up their sleeves to support colleagues in the team. Supported by your senior colleagues, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and take your career to the next level.

The successful candidate should be creative, have a keen eye for detail, be able to meet deadlines and willing to go that extra mile to deliver outstanding results. 

The position would suit applicants who have recently graduated with a Communications and/or Marketing degree accompanied by role relevant placement experience, or someone who has been working in a similar role and wishes to gain more experience.  Key responsibilities include:

  • As part of a team, create rich and engaging content to reach various audiences
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to develop internal news / newsletters via various channels
  • Updating and maintaining company intranet.
  • Creation of posters for global offices and ensuring they are displayed
  • Event support – both face to face and virtual.
  • Maintain and report monthly statistics.
  • Produce quality work products through approval processes, fact-checking and proof reading.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field, and/or role relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Professional use of digital and social media platforms
  • High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Desirable

  • Oil & gas, energy or marine industry experience
  • IT:   Graphic design skills including Canva and Adobe InDesign. Video editing skills
