The Role

As our organisation grows and evolves, expanding to new markets and locations, we need to continue to attract and engage the best talent.

We are looking to further enhance our UK based recruitment team who manage all aspects of the recruitment process for multiple business units in multiple locations. Whether it’s an Accountant for our Corporate function to be based in Aberdeen, a Project Engineer for Seaway 7 in the Netherlands, or a Graduate for our Global Project Centre in London or Paris, the successful applicant will join an established and professional group of recruiters and work as part of a collaborative team supporting the organisation’s needs.

This is either a permanent or contract role based in Aberdeen working on a hybrid basis offering a mix of office and home working. 

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pro-actively partner with relevant departments to assess talent needs and provide expertise and guidance around hiring plan and strategy, driving the full end to end cycle
  • Facilitate the promotion of all positions through appropriate mediums, including company website, job boards and recruitment partners.
  • Develop a professional network of contacts to build talent pipelines and increase direct resourcing activity.
  • Screening of applicants details against job requirements
  • Conduct thorough behavioural based interviews and phone screens to assess both technical baseline as well as skills to be successful within the Subsea 7 organisation.
  • Deliver a fantastic candidate experience at every opportunity, continuously looking to support applicants through the recruitment process every step of the way.
  • Negotiate and advise candidates on their individual terms and conditions of employment.
  • Ensures Line Managers are informed on a regular basis on the recruitment process
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring that recruitment system is updated regularly and that workflow activities associated with the recruitment process are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that recruitment channels promote diverse sourcing selection and that processes are free of bias and that selection decisions are based upon objective assessment criteria
  • Contributes to innovations and improvements in the recruitment process as necessary to ensure our ways of working evolve with changing market conditions.

Skills and Experience

  • Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • A confident communicator, comfortable dealing across all levels of the organisation. 
  • Strong team player focussed on supporting the coordinated efforts of the group’s common goals.
  • Organised with the ability to manage high volumes of work, as well as conflicting and changing priorities 
  • Able to manage and prioritise own workload 
  • Experience of using Linked In Recruiter, with particular emphasis on  proactive search techniques and candidate sourcing skills, is preferred.

Qualifications and Education

  • A specific Recruitment or HR Qualification is desirable, however demonstrable experience in a recruitment role, ideally within an in-house role in the energy industry, is the key qualification.
