Your mission

The Global Projects Centre & Asia Pacific (GPC & AP) is Subsea 7's centre of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide.

Within the Supply Chain department and more especially its Category Management division, you will be responsible for managing market consultations, final negotiations, and preparation of pipes and coating subcontracts (complex products) for the awarded GPC & AP Projects.

This position is covering mainly conventional and SURF worldwide projects.

The Senior Engineer is responsible for coordinating all activities related to supply chain on the following aspects:

  • Manage suppliers’ consultations related to the pipes and coating scope in coordination with the technical authority and other disciplines involved in the tender/project.
  • Perform commercial and contractual analysis, schedule evaluation of bids, and incorporate technical evaluation from Engineering, QA, QC & HSE.
  • Finalize the bid summary and make recommendations for the Project.
  • Prepare the drafting and negotiation of the contracts (and framework agreements if any)
  • Develop commercial expertise in the pipes and coating category.
  • Participate in sourcing new pipes and coating suppliers.
  • Develop a collaborative relationship with suppliers and knowledge of key suppliers (organization, processes, plants, …)

 

Your profile

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Business);
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of industry experience.
  • Good understanding of the overall technical issue and a good knowledge of the offshore industry and its specificities and complex items;
  • Technical awareness of pipes and coating standards and products.
  • Previous experience in the management of pipes and coating subcontracts would be a plus;
  • Good written and oral communication in English, and French-speaking would be a plus;
  • In addition to the technical and commercial skills described above, the successful candidate will need to be a strong team player with effective communication and relationship skills, as well as an appetite for strategic thinking.
