Role Overview

The Logistics/Warehouse Co-ordinator shall ensure equipment is received from, or mobilised to, both UK and Global locations. 

This includes preparation of relevant Export documentation, and so awareness of HMRC processes would be advantageous, but is not essential.

This role combines all aspects of general warehouse activity with the additional elements associated with creating commercial documentation to support final export of goods from the UK, as such excellent attention to detail in presentation of documents is essential in the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all project material and equipment is controlled and processed in accordance with the company processes and procedures relevant to the function.
  • Create export documentation in compliance with HMRC and arranging shipments either by Air, Road or Sea. Agree transport need with key stakeholders and liaise with freight agents to negotiate best price and advise of export instructions
  • Perform warehouse duties for the handling, storage and packing of materials and equipment to be moved to vessels, drill regions in project specific global regions, ensuring receiving personnel are informed to track to end destination.
  • Prepare Dangerous Goods paperwork as well as packing and labelling in with compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure all export commercial invoices with Dual Use goods are logged and filed for export control audits. Use Eco Checker tool to ensure correct Licences are used, as relevant.
  • Check Returning / Demob equipment against inward manifests, move to correct status in SAP tracking system, and liaise with key stakeholders on its return. Generate SAP manifest for all returning materials and equipment and distribute accordingly.
  • Forklift operations, up to 16T, subject to relevant training certification.
  • Pro-actively contribute to the delivery of functional SCM initiatives, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), seeking continuous improvement of efficiency and process.
  • Perform any other associated duties to support the Team Lead / Function Manager and business.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Strong practical experience of warehouse and logistic process and procedures including applicable UK Oil & Gas regulations.
  • Practical experience moving commercial freight by all transport modes and associated legislation.
  • Practical experience in Dangerous Goods management and COSSH regulations is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Export Requirements, HS Codes & Custom Procedure Codes (CPC) is desirable.
  • Current RTITB Forklift certification or equivalent – 5T essential, up to 16T desirable.
  • Computer literate, experience with MS office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
  • SAP ERP experience is desirable.
