Subsea 7 needs to increase the engineering capacity with focus on Subsea Structures and is looking for experienced engineers to be part of the Subsea Structures Team based in the Stavanger office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop design and perform analysis and/or calculation of permanent subsea structures such as PLETs, PLEMs, Riser bases, SSIVs, Tees & Protection Structures. This will also include preparation of structure and piping design reports
  • Liaise with the relevant stakeholders e.g. pipeline design-, installation- and fabrication discipline
  • Prepare specifications/design premises for design of permanent structures
  • Prepare cost estimates and material take-offs for studies and tenders
  • Beneficial to have 3D modelling skills (Inventor) to prepare conceptual models and design drawings

Capability profile / Qualifications:

  • The candidates shall have a relevant engineering degree (MSc- or BSc degree)
  • Possess strong technical knowledge within design of subsea structures
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Relevant software experience (e.g. STAAD, ANSYS, AutoPipe and Inventor)
  • Experienced with design according to the relevant standards: NORSOK, DNV, Eurocode, ISO and ASME
  • Aligned with Subsea 7’s core values - Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Performance, Collaboration and Innovation
  • Well organized and systematic working methods
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, flexible in approach and possess the ability to change priorities as and when business or client’s needs dictates
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for several work packages ongoing simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision

The positions are based in Stavanger, however an office location in Oslo may be discussed in special cases.
