Seaway 7 has a current requirement for a Package Lead (Cables). This is a Full time or contract position to be based in UK (Aberdeen).

Package Lead

As Package Lead you will have overall responsible for managing and executing commercial contracts for the supply and subsequent installation of offshore Array cables. The role  will direct report to the Project Manager/Director and maintain close contact with clients technical teams and ensure the execution of the package is done in accordance with required codes standard and specifications as stipulated in the contract

  • The Package Lead is responsible for the management and control of the scope of work assigned to them.
  • In a safe, cost effective and professional manner, the Package Lead is responsible for delivering the assigned scope of work to a high quality of service that not only meets client requirements, but also meets or exceeds the financial values forecast as sold in the tender.  
  • The Package Lead is expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Seaway 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
  • The Package Lead is responsible for ensuring Supplier HSEQ culture is aligned with Project requirements.  
  • The Package Lead is expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Seaway 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.       

REPSONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES 

  • Responsible for the overall management,  technical, operational, financial and on time  delivery of the cable supply package, in compliance with company’s procedures and contract requirements
  • Responsible for leading the technical and quality delivery teams
  • Participate in/perform project handover  review
  • Ensure that the general objectives, legal/commercial consequences and scope of work are clearly understood, adequate resources are made available, and the agreed scope of work is fulfilled to the client requirements and specifications
  • Ensure that all project deadlines are met and final approval of the document deliverables.
  • Supervise and ensure that all project personnel within the package organization carry out their tasks in accordance with delegated authority and responsibility
  • Responsible for purchase of identified required project equipment/materials
  • Ensure successful delivery of the package scope, throughout the project life cycle, in line with the Project schedule and Project business objectives in terms of profit and loss, safety, quality and client satisfaction
  • Ensure all relevant lessons learned are captured and communicated to the project, and performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promote continuous improvement, safety, integrity, and compliance consistently
  • Ensure all interface aspects associated with the package are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner in sufficient detail to ensure smooth progress of the work
  • Ensure compliance with the Project Management and supply chain process
  • Contribute and lead a positive HSEQ culture on the projects, monitoring and driving HSE performance throughout the project life-cycle. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Relevant Engineering  degree.
  • Previous experience in the management procurements and installation of Array cables, umbilical's or flexibles
  • Several years’ experience of cables/umbilical’s/flexible installation preferred
  • Cross discipline experience in both technical and commercial requirements of the role.
  • Knowledge of relevant rules and regulations for the offshore industry
  • Excellent management and negotiation skills
  • Proven people management skills and solid commercial awareness
  • Resourceful and problem solving abilities with hands-on attitude
  • Ability to travel to supplier locations to ensure project delivery requirements are met
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and experience in engineering, design and 3D CAD Programs
