The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.

 

Job Profile:

As Vessel Operator you will have an essential role in our effort to provide good and efficient solutions for our heavy transportation vessels. You will be working and liaising with the operations department, the technical manager, our chartering department and project engineers.  

 

As an Operator you will cover a variety of tasks within our Heavy Transport Group at Seaway 7. Depending on the magnitude and complexity of the journey and projects, the operator may be autonomously responsible from the planning of projects, day to day follow up on ongoing projects and closing out projects.  

 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Voyage related contractual follow up, such as demurrage calculation, cost breakdown, deviation etc.
  • Cost related to voyage and project for financial reporting
  • Voyage monitoring and keep fleet overview of position and movements
  • Monitoring and record of speed, performance, consumption, and internal and external report related to vessel an project performance
  • Port planning, follow up and close contact with existing and new port agents
  • Support in ad hoc commercial tasks as required 
  • Ensure adherence to Seaway7’s procedures and reports are achieved
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain overview of competition fleet position and movements
  • Support legal team in claims and legal proceedings

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • BSc or senior officer level
  • Experience within shipping and offshore
  • Good IT literacy is essential.
  • Professional level in English.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
