Scope of work :
A significant part of Subsea7 Engineering performance directly relies on Computer-Aided Engineering and Design (CAE & CAD) software efficiency.
This efficiency is supported, among other things, by our calculation power, particularly on our High Performance Compunting (HPC) platform, and our Engineering Software for Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Design (CAD). In order to provide our Engineers the access to Engineering software and computation power when needed and control our cost, we need to forecast and budget:
- HPC on Premises and Cloud Computing usage
- File storage for calculation files
- Engineering software licenses
Based within the Design & Analysis Group of Subsea 7’s Global Project Centre & Asia Pacific, you will be in charge of supporting, improving and developing each aspects to maintain our CAE capabilities at best level.
During your internship your mission will be to develop a predictive model of engineering calculation resources based on an extensive set of data (several years of data):
- License monitoring
- HPC monitoring
- SAP recorded time sheet from our engineers
- Engineering software budget
The work will start by manipulating and organizing the raw so that they can be harmonized and used to build the predictive model.
