SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

 Personal Responsibilities

  • Identify/recruit the required personnel to be allocated to the ongoing Projects, tenders and functional area. Allocate the resources to the best interest of Brazil and the Group.
  • Manage the resources of the operations area in terms of performance, development, retention, compensations, defining clear objectives and managing performance.
  • Manage the Operations department budget based on business scenario.
  • Promote the Group vision, project charter, commercial awareness and core values.
  • Ensure a high level of safety culture and integrity across all our operational activities. Ensure that all applicable Group & regional processes/procedures are complied with.
  • Prepare Brazil GVS, gathering all information from projects and tenders.
  • Ensure an efficient interface with other Brazil department and Group entities, mainly: Projects, GPC&AP operations department, Offshore Resources, PG. Ensuring an efficient interface between Engineering, Fabrication, HSEQ and Marine Operations.
  • Ensure readiness of the local crew for all project operations in Brazil with the right level of competence. Develop and retain offshore crew with proper communication & caring.
  • Prepare and implement strategic plan for the local manning of all projects operating in Brazil, in collaboration with Offshore UK.
  • Develop the best logistics solution for projects, liaising with SCM for 3rd party base
  • Provide adequate Tenders inputs for crewing, logistics and vessels assumptions.
  • Develop new processes, tools and systems as required to suit business needs and to enhance operational performance. Focusing on automation and digitalization.
  • Propose and implement engineering solutions to improve the efficiency and the safety of our operations.
  • Optimize the utilization of the vessels, operational bases and auxiliary marine spread.
  • Develop strategic plan for operations and marine logistics considering project portfolio, in collaboration with projects and SCM. Coordinate with on-land & importation logistic area in SCM
  • Maintain past project knowledge and build on Lessons Learned.
  • Develop required standards and department technical skills.

 

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

The GPC Operations  Manager reports to the Brazil Project & Operations Director who himself reports to the Brazil Vice President.

CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS

  • 10 years minimum experience in oil and Gas Business dealing with Projects and Offshore Construction Operations
  • Having Safety and integrity as fundamental values
  • Collaborative mindset.
  • Cost conscious.
  • Ability to build adequate strategy and proper plans
  • Extended capability in managing a team and various stake holder – time management, setting priorities, creative thinking etc
  • Extended capability in developing relationships through effective communication and managing various stakeholders
  • Extended capability and willingness to motivate, train and develop others

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Majority of the work is carried out in the home office site with frequent travels to the operational onshore and offshore sites
  • On/Off-site location as required.
  • Requirement for some international travel.
