The Role
Subsea 7 Australia has been delivering projects for our clients from the North West Shelf to the Bass Strait for 40 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our Operations Team to support our current large EPCI Projects and upcoming Tenders.
This role may be based in Australia or Malaysia, depending on the successful candidate.
As a Senior Planner, you shall be part of the Planning department resource pool of global experts. You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and follow-up of all planning activities within a project/ tender including interface with other Project Controls roles.
You will also:

Be the focal point of contact for all activity related to planning on a project or tender(s)

Develop robust baseline schedule & reporting tools, including S-curves & flaot table, to ensure timely delivery of the project.

Be forecast oriented, anticipating and alerting at early stage issues & impacts

Understand projects/ tenders’ requirements; identify & address planning scenarios and problems; develop and implement solutions.

Establish, maintain and follow up plans/networks as the single source of truth and progress reporting for new and established projects in accordance with Client, Subsea7, GPC and SIA Planning & progress procedures.

Support tender activity when applicable, prepare all deliverables in accordance with Client, Subsea7, GPC&AP, Floating Wind & SIA planning procedures and review ITT for qualifications; be pro-active and propose plan and solution to tender team.

Prepare schedule basis document for client and internal use when working on project or tender; provide clarity on assumptions, critical paths, float, risks and opportunity.

The successful candidate shall have/be:

Education equivalent to degree in engineering and administrative/business discipline

Knowledge of Software: Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
-
Relevant previous experience in the subsea or offshore environment or planning.

Experience on large/complex EPCI SURF contracts is highly desirable.

Relevant previous experience in planning management

Advanced knowledge in key areas of planning techniques and analysis

Ideally an understanding of current Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Offshore Installation processes in the Oil and Gas sector.

Pro-active and excellent communication skills with all interfacing parties
