Subsea 7 UK GIRM Project & Operations require to add to the existing Project Management pool to support the exciting portfolio of upcoming projects within oil & gas and emerging energy transition opportunities.  We are looking for applicants already working in a PM or Senior PM capacity with EPCI project experience to lead these new projects through win and execute.  These roles are on a permanent, staff basis.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary project focal point for Subsea 7 and Client engagement, accountable for successful project delivery in terms of cost, safety, quality and schedule performance
  • Ensure that project execution is compliant with the contract (Client/Subsea 7), specifications and client requirements
  • Liaise with the support functions to select, build, lead and develop a high performing project team
  • Demonstrates strong leadership to create a positive culture on projects, monitoring and driving HSEQ performance
  • Ensure the project team is cost aware, focussed on Predictable Performance and preventing Cost of Loss through effective Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Ensure the project schedule is robust and closely managed to meet key dates, coordinating resources, assets, supply chain and inter-project interfaces
  • Ensure compliance with PM7 and BMS processes and procedures
  • Support tenders and pursuits to assist in winning new work
  • Oversee subcontracts adhering to SCM process to obtain cost / risk effective service
  • Authorise issuance of purchase orders, variation orders, invoices, subcontractor POs, change orders and payments
  • Ensure that Management of Change processes are applied effectively on the project
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to project team members, providing feedback on performance project members and assisting in their personal/ career development
  • Provide project reporting to internal and client management
  • Implement effective stakeholder engagement to ensure effective working relationships which contribute to project success
  • Actively support project and business improvement initiatives

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in a Project Management role at either Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, preferably with a range of subsea project experience and team sizes.
  • Candidates should have experience in the Offshore Energy Industry 
  • Degree or equivalent in an engineering, other technical or commercial discipline.
  • Strong commercial background with the ability to report internally and to work effectively with clients

Continuing Professional Development:

  • It is desirable that candidate show a willingness to pursue professional project management training and qualifications 

Skills

  • Good inter-personal, communication, organisational and leadership skills

Specific Job Related Requirements

Location: This position is based at Aberdeen Westhill.  There may also be opportunities for overseas secondments.

Travel Requirements: The successful candidate will be expected to travel for client and supplier meetings, as well as vessel and site visits.
