OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The SCM LTA Specialist is responsible for the strategic Procurement/Subcontrcting activities relating to LTA’s, particularly for indirect/non project related  products/services.  Reporting to the SCM Team Lead, the SCM LTA Specialist will manage the SCM processes for the pre and post award Long Term Agreement management duties.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Review and prepare strategies for each nominated product/service category including Global Information Technology (IT) and local Facilities Management (FM)
  • Prepare and issue RFQ’s; and evaluation of received bids
  • Prepare Long Term Agreement Recommendations
  • Ensure the optimum commercial and contractual position for Subsea 7 is achieved
  • Post Award Manage nominated LTA’s particularly timely renewals, annual bonus collection, issue resolution, supplier meetings, Terms and Conditions update, pricing audits and reporting
  • Maintain awareness of 3rd party commitment forecast across the business to ensure potential synergies are leveraged where appropriate
  • Contribute to the preparation and management of SCM Dept LTA planning activities
  • Participate in assessment of potential and existing suppliers
  • Actively participate in Supplier development where necessary
  • Support Team Lead and proactively contribute to Company and SCM initiatives, objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and to achievement of these
  • Perform SCM activities; within allocated area of responsibility, according to Company policies, procedures and systems; and Client requirements as applicable
  • Ensure SCM capitilises from lessons learned and SCM activities are performed in consideration of best practice, striving to mitigate risk and consistent promotion of Company core values
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders e.g. HSEQ, Contracts, Finance and Engineering to ensure cross functional delivery of SCM activity
  • Effective utilisation of SCM and Company systems e.g. SAP, SAP Ariba, SharePoint and Synergi to effectively deliver SCM activities and promote knowledge share
  • Proactively support and contribute to the continuous improvement of the SCM Department
  • Assist with any other duties that may be required for successful business delivery.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Degree qualified preferably in a commercial, legal, business or engineering subject and/or relevant industry experience
  • Relevant industry qualification desirable eg CIPS
  • Experience in the RFQ, evaluation and award process (Indirect procurement experience desirable)
  • Understanding of contractual law, relevant regulations and legislation relevant to indirect procurement
  • Experience with SAP and SAP Ariba desirable
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluency in English
  • High degree of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)

  • Pro-active and positive to changes and challenges typical of Energy Sector
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, pro-active and open in communication with all interfacing parties both internally and externally
  • Ability to multitask across different SCM activities, flexible in approach and possess the ability to change priorities as and when business or client needs dictates
  • Proactively share knowledge within and out with the SCM Department
