Subsea 7 is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical / Hydraulic Technician II to work within our Offshore Resources team’s ROV facility in Tullos.

The role of Mechanical/Hydraulic Technician Level II has primary responsibility for the maintenance, repair and servicing of a wide range of ROV Launch and Recovery systems.  Core responsibilities are to:

  • Participate in the planned maintenance of ROV LARS and associated equipment
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and in compliance with all technical and project requirements
  • Use logical fault-finding techniques during breakdown situations
  • Assist in the identification and ordering of suitable spare parts to ensure they are available when required
  • Interface with other workshop disciplines as and when required
  • Compile and maintain technical records, reports and logs using the workshop request system & SAP.
  • Provide technical information to administration team to enable SAP equipment reports to be updated
  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment within the department and the Company
  • Ensure Mechanical / Hydraulic Team Lead is updated on all aspects of assigned jobs
  • Perform any other necessary duties within their experience and capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE – Essential

  • Demonstrable Mechanical/Hydraulic knowledge on a wide range of A-frames, Winches and HPU’s
  • Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship.
  • Hydraulic Level II Certification
  • Good level of secondary education.
  • PC literate and proficient in Microsoft software applications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE – Desirable

  • Further Education HNC
  • ROV Workshop or relevant offshore experience

  • Attention to detail, methodical, works at all times in a safe manner.
