DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

Reporting to the HR Manager Asia Pacific the HR Data Analyst is accountable for analysis and reporting on compensation and benefits data and generating cost models and trending to support HR delivery.

Working with large data fields drawn from HR systems and Excel you will be responsible for data analysis and production of meaningful management information and statistics to drive informed management decision.

The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur.

This is a new position, and the successful candidate will be able to develop and make the role their own.

All personnel are required to develop and foster a positive HSEQ culture throughout Subsea7 and drives HSEQ performance and to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to the Code of Conduct.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

These shall include but not be limited to the following;

• Provide compensation and benefits data analytics to the business, working with the GPC & AP onshore HR teams and the Group Reward team to support all reward related activities.
• Working with regional and corporate reward teams, to act as regional co-ordinator of the annual reward processes, including annual salary review, budget planning and preparation.
• Gathering and analysing data, preparing reports and data for stakeholders (Finance, HR Director, VP at required).
• Proactively monitoring and analysing market trends and industry best practice in relation to compensation and benefits within Malaysia, Australia and other Asia Pacific countries as required.
• Co-ordination of internal and external salary benchmarking tools and undertaking ad-hoc market reviews to ensure competitiveness.
• Evaluating roles to ensure correct positioning in the grading structure and alignment on the remuneration framework.
• To develop and present analytical data on remuneration to support reviews with the HR teams and the business.
• Ensure the successfully delivery of the annual flexible benefits renewal and ongoing review of benefit providers and promotion of benefits schemes.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with existing benefit providers.
• Handling claims for insured benefits in collaboration with other functions.
• Responsible for the accuracy of salary and benefits information in SAP.
• Monitoring and compliance with regulatory reporting related to compensation e.g. gender pay gap, pension auto enrolment and other external/legislative reporting requirements.
• Reviewing and analysing current systems and processes relating to reward to ensure that they are effective.
• Developing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with all staff, external providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the reputation of the HR team as a customer focused function.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Candidates should be degree qualified from a Data Analytics, Human Resources or Business Information background.
• Experience of building and maintaining reporting and analytics.
• Good communication skills and strong team spirit.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience in Power BI preferred.
• Experience dealing with large sets of data and being able to manipulate this into meaningful outputs.
• Results driven individual who can work independently with excellent organizational skills.
• Analytical thinking and proactive skills.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity focus.
• Ability to enhance the look and feel of data and reporting.
• Background in HR / People Systems is preferred, but not essential.
