Senior Installation Engineer 

Location: Singapore or UAE

Subsea 7 is looking for talented Senior Installation Engineers that will support in producing detailed engineering to deliver project work, managing aspects of the team as agreed with the Management team. Work may include supporting studies and tenders as well as live projects.

Senior Engineers may be technical specialists within a specific discipline and support the knowledge management and technology initiatives relating to the discipline. Work may be carried out onshore or offshore, depending upon the particular discipline in question.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to the Drawing Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.
  • Undertake analysis, design and engineering activities associated with subsea construction and installation.
  • Production of design documentation including feasibility reports, detailed design reports, construction drawings, design specifications, material take-offs, weight control calculations, etc.
  • Provide engineering assistance during mobilisations and occasional periods of offshore or site working where required.
  • Understand Supply Chain Management processes and key SCM commodity strategies.
  • Actively engage in the project risk assessment and mitigation processes

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Sc or B.Sc in Civil or Mechanical engineering, or Marine engineering focused on marine structures
  • 8+ years of experience from the marine/offshore/oil & gas industry is preferable
  • Relevant software experience (e.g. STAAD.pro, ANSYS

 

PERSONAL SKILLS

  • Ability to function as a team member across multiple projects.
  • Sound communication skills, oral, written and electronic.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time and change control.
  • Ability to manage interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, client and suppliers.
  • Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints
