PURPOSE

To assist the HSE management and support the project team on HSE engagement in accordance with HSE procedures, Sonamet policies and client requirements.


 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational activities

- Considered as HSE leader on one or more projects.

- Carry out weekly HSE site inspection of projects.

- Participate in project HSE meetings.

- Ensure that Sonamet HSE procedures, policies and regulations are properly posted and adhered to on the project work area.

- Promote awareness of safety observation cards.

- Participate in the investigation of adverse event reports.

- Report any HSE deviation and take necessary corrective actions.

- Provide training to the HSE team and Sonamet workers.

- Participate in the drafting of HSE / JSA / HIRA documents.

- Contribute to the improvement of HSE procedures and guidelines.

- Monitor the compliance of subcontractors with HSE standards and the HSE performance of subcontractors.

- Participate in the internal audit

- Assist HSE management on HSE compliance.

Visual inspection

- Ensure that all HSE emergency equipment has been inspected (e.g. fire extinguisher and car wash).

- Ensure that safety signs, safety gates, safety flash, job safety analysis and Sonamet policies have been posted on the safety notice boards.


 JOB REQUIREMENTS/PROFILE

Academic background/experience: - Degree or engineer in QHSE, HSE
- Occupational Safety and Health
- Nebosh - International I / IOSH certification

Technical knowledge / skills: - Accident investigation and reporting; Crisis management
crisis management; risk and hazard management; QHSE tools; internal audit; safety management system.
- English and Portuguese.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation.
