KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure continuous compliance with all Finance policies, process and procedures and promote best practice
  • Supporting the compliance and timeliness with statutory filing obligations, including annual and tax return and local in-country certifications
  • Ensure that all transactions are recorded and reported in accordance with Subsea 7 statutory and local legal requirements
  • Organize, run, and monitor the closing process monthly, quarterly, and annually, including the collating of any required accounts
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge in accounting standards and provide technical accounting support within the function
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors with regards to accounting issues and internal control over Financial Reporting

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Accounting or related discipline with sound accounting knowledge
  • Post-graduate accounting qualification in Accounting (e.g., Chartered Accountant, Certified Practicing Accountant, Chartered Management Accountant, etc.) or related discipline
  • Experience in SAP is an advantage
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the similar role and cost centre reporting

  • Sound understanding of business practices in Middle East
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal skills and can interact with all levels within the organization and region
  • Strong planning, problem-solving and organizational skills and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Demonstrable experience in improving current work practices and implementing new ideas
  • Superior written, oral communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
