The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Seaway 7 are looking to recruit an Equipment Engineer. This role can be based out of our Zoetermeer office. We willing to consider both staff and contract applications for this position.

The Equipment Engineer ensures that project equipment arrives in time, ready for use at the dedicated projects.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attends and participates in project preparation meetings.
  • Advises the project on the correct use of the project equipment.
  • Can modify equipment on project demand, arranging/managing the required maintenance.
  • Advises on technical modifications to project and vessel crew.
  • Manages technical modifications.
  • Attends equipment tests at manufacturer premises.
  • High level of budget awareness.
  • First point of contact for vessel crew and Project Manager in case of an equipment breakdowns.
  • Willing to travel and work outside normal office hours.

INTERFACE WITH:

  • Vessel Superintendents
  • Department Engineers
  • Project Teams and Vessel Crews

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • MTS / Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject. Preferably ships engineer.
  • Good level of practical experience in a similar role.

  • Fluent in English.
  • Works well independently, showing high levels of initiative.
  • Demonstrates good decision-making skills and responds proactively to problems/issues.
  • Is risk focused and demonstrates effective forward planning.
  • Delivers under pressure, flexible to adapt to the changing needs of business and manage competing deadlines.
  • Solutions based with excellent planning and organisation skills, approaches tasks in a structural and methodical manner.
