DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION

  • The Material Tracker Project reports hierarchically to the Project Operations Manager to whom he is assigned and functionally to the Operations Project Support Manager.
  • The position covers the co-ordination, the tracking and the follow up of all equipment's, material & consumables to be used for the Project execution.
  • Material Tacker based in Suresnes office from mobilisation date January 2023 and until the start of operations (January 2024).
  • All along the year 2023, there will be several trips to Angola (Lobito) (approx. one week per month) to be planned.
  • And during operations from December 2023/January 2024 until July 2024, the material tracker shall be re-localised in Angola (Luanda) (with several trips to Lobito and other logistic bases, ports, etc.).

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the identification and the tracking of all equipment's, material & consumables used for and during the Project, throughout its movement from mobilisation to demobilisation locations.
  • Liaise with all parties within the project (starting with SCM) to consolidate, update and follow the Master Material List which is the exhaustive list of all equipment's, material & consumables purchased, rented and / or fabricated by the project.
  • Ensure all parties are informed in due time of the flow of material in and out, especially the local logistic entities, to allow smooth and efficient flow.
  • Provide on a regular basis, at least once a week, the Master Material List and report through this list any delays, dysfunctions, or particulars which could affect the project.
  • Liaise with countries and ships/ barges organisations (in-countries logistic teams, ships/barges/yards storekeepers) for tracking all movements and storages.
  • Ensure that all paper works necessary for identification, clearance and transportation such as cargo manifest, packing list, air way-bill, material certificate, dangerous goods declaration, are available to local countries organisations and to Project’s entities.
  • At demobilisation: Ensure all project equipment are timely demobilised and returned to suppliers and ensure liaison with Yard for return of fabricated installation aids.

 

CAPABLITY PROFILE–KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS

  • Past experience in a similar position (logistic, store keeping, inventory control and material control task).
  • Preferably, experience of West Africa environment.
  • Preferably, experience in Oil and Gas business.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English mandatory. Portuguese language would be a plus.
  • Very good knowledge of standard office software.
