OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Applications are sought for position of GPC&AP Market Analyst and Business Planner (MABP) to be based in Sutton (UK), or Suresnes (France). The MABP is responsible for supporting the acquisition of new business for the GPC&AP region through the gathering, analysis and presentation of market intelligence to enable strategic business planning.

 

The MABP shall administer the Client Relationship Management database, support periodic reporting activities whilst being a proactive participant of the overall Sales & Marketing organisation.  

 

The position reports to the GPC&AP Sales & Marketing Director. The role is suitable for candidates with an existing background in market analysis or business development from the Oil and Gas and/or renewables industry, or other roles requiring an in depth understanding of our markets and the ability to gather, analyse, quality control and effectively present data.

 

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Continuously monitor market intelligence sources (industry press, client releases and subscription services…), analyse the data for market trends, client and competitor activities that impact on the regions strategy, and prepare reports and presentations to support business decisions for Oil, Gas and new energy transition markets
  • Lead the market data collection and analysis to support business development plans and strategies for the emerging Energy Transition market in the Asia Pacific region
  • Provide support to the Business Development team with pursuits, reporting of client interactions and maintaining the client relationship database
  • Provide input to the group and the region’s periodic reporting requirements by ensuring alignment and updates to vessel schedules, resource plans and master commercial plans
  • Maintain the regions Master Commercial Plan and ensure close alignment between Finance and Human Resources.
  • Perform market analysis and studies to support regional business plans and wider group strategic plans
  • Support Human Resources for resource planning against forward looking scenarios to support proactive resource management and recruitment

PERSON SPECIFICATION

We are recruiting for a highly motivated, analytical and industry-aware person to join our team and to help shape the future direction of the GPC&AP region. The role requires collaborative working with a number of stakeholders, but also the ability to work effectively with sole responsibility.

 

As a member of the Sales & Marketing team for the Global Projects Centre the MABP is afforded a unique global view of our clients and markets, providing key insights to support the region’s and wider group’s strategic plans. In addition to being responsible for the Asia Pacific region that will be one of the leading markets for Floating Offshore Wind and other Energy Transition markets including CCUS and Hydrogen.

 

The successful candidates shall:

  • Operate with the highest standards of integrity, preserving the confidentiality of the information available with the role
  • Maintain a comprehensive awareness of the Subsea Oil and Gas industry, Subsea7’s position in the market and our competitors and the emerging new markets associated with the Energy Transition
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-national, multi-location team
  • Be able to prepare high quality/accuracy, engaging presentations and reports, suitable for a senior audience review
  • Be motivated to continue to learn and support the region and groups growth plans and evolution through the Energy Transition
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all common business software applications (Microsoft suite) and be able to quickly learn and maximise the value from new applications
