Project Manager / Tender Lead

Reports to: ME P&O Director / Tendering Manager

Location: Sharjah- UAE

Subsea 7 is looking for a talented Project Manager/Tender Lead who will act as a focal point for all technical, contractual, schedule and commercial aspects of tender preparation. 

The Project Manager manages/coordinates all matters that (may) affect the tender they are assigned to. Especially, but not limited to, tender set up and organization, overall execution strategy, main procurement of complex product and Long Lead Items (LLI) including main subcontracts and budget preparation.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for management and execution of all phases of the tender.
  • Represent Subsea 7 in front of the Client for the dedicated tender.
  • Coordinate the technical and commercial discussions with JV, Consortium, etc. partners if necessary
  • Ensures that project execution follows the Main Contract specifications and Client requirements.
  • Responsible for setting up the overall execution and commercial strategy for the assigned tender.
  • Responsible for presenting the overall budget to the Subsea7 higher management and seek approval for submission to Client.
  • Responsible for the development, approval and implementation of Project Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Identify the tender risk profile with the assistance of relevant departments and provide suitable mitigation plans and associated budgets for contingencies.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Engineering Degree associated with Mechanical, Civil, Offshore or Marine disciplines.
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in leading Tenders
  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Fluent in English Language

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Creative problem solving - able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision
  • The ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for discrete work packages ongoing simultaneously
  • Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions
