DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

The Senior Market Analyst & Business Planner will provide support to the development and management of AMEC business opportunity data. It will also support to maintain the C365 database, conduct research activities and support periodic reporting for the AMEC region in general.

The position reports to the Sales & Marketing Director. The role is suitable for candidates with a background in Business Planning for the Oil and Gas and/or Renewables industry, or other roles requiring an in depth understanding of our markets and the ability to gather, analyse and effectively use data to build effective business plans.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Assist to maintain the regions Master Commercial Plan, including interfacing with Finance and Human Resources to ensure data consistency.
  • Assist to support Human Resources for resource planning against forward looking scenarios to support proactive resource management and recruitment.
  • Provide support to the Business Development team with pursuits, reporting of client interactions and maintaining the client relationship database.
  • Provide input to the region’s periodic reporting requirements by ensuring alignment and updates to vessel schedules, resource plans and master commercial plans.
  • Maintain and update the Client 365 Database in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Team.
  • Maintain and update an internal Database for monitoring and tracking Competitor activity and capability/capacity.
  • Continuously monitor market intelligence sources (industry press, client releases and subscription services), analyse the data for market trends, client and competitor activities that impact on the regions strategy, and prepare reports and presentations to support business decisions for Oil, Gas and new energy transition markets.
  • Conduct market data collection and analysis to support business development plans and strategies for the emerging Energy Transition market in the AMEC region.
  • Perform market analysis and studies to support regional business plans and wider group strategic plans.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Solid Business Planning skills and experience in our business environment.
  • Experience with Offshore EPCI contractor and clear understanding of the offshore world.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all common business software applications (Microsoft suite) and be able to quickly learn and maximise the value from new applications.
  • Fluent English – written and spoken.
