Who are we looking for?

Subsea7 has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Flow Assurance Engineer on a staff basis at our Westhill, Aberdeenshire office.

As part of the Field Development Group within the UK & Global IRM team you will be responsible for defining and developing Oil & Gas and New Energy systems, solutions and offerings to meet our clients’ needs.

What does the role involve?

  • Provides specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in key areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice
  • Understands clients' needs; identifies and addresses design parameters and problems; develops and implements solutions
  • Deliver the technical input as well as support establishing the cost basis for all studies, tenders and projects
  • Support the Field Development Group to deliver the technical strategy with regards to client needs on tenders and projects, and measure Subsea7 performance targets
  • Defining the systems and solutions of our future Low Carbon Oil & Gas and Energy Transition portfolio in conjunction with our strategy team
  • Undertakes responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions
  • Review own work and work performed by resources assigned on a continuous basis, to ensure that
    • The technical scope is being delivered in accordance with the budget and schedule
    • The technical scope is being delivered to the quality standards expected within Subsea7 and addressing the specific needs and expectations of the client
    • Risks are being identified and mitigation strategies put in place
    • Opportunities are being captured and recorded appropriately
    • An efficient resolution is developed for technical issues slowing progress and/or affecting performance. As appropriate drive higher level management support and actions
    • Lessons learned are captured and recorded appropriately
  • Provide input to tenders and project technical proposals as required
  • Attendance at Design Reviews, HIRA’s and Project Meetings as required
  • Ensure appropriate review is performed on specific project issues, ensuring the engagement of the wider organization such as the COE network, etc as appropriate
  • Ensure that the technical processes have the correct interfaces with other processes (e.g. SCM, Project Control, HSEQ, etc)
  • Identify and provide solutions for common technical project issues

What do you need to have?

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Well versed in the use and application of OLGA, PipeSim, Multiflash and PVTSim
  • Strong ability and track record building efficient steady state and transient models, analysing issues and helping to develop solutions
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Continuing Professional Development
  • Knowledge of Energy Transition solutions including CCUS and Hydrogen
  • Technical knowledge and experience supporting design of SURF projects and working in multidiscipline teams
