Our Heavy Transportation Vessels (HTV) is at the heart of our business and our people are key to our success. As a HTV Business Controller within Seaway7 you will be working with some of the heaviest transportable goods on earth and participate in the green shift.

The HTV Business Controller plays an important role in the preparation and set-up of finance systems/reporting structures and management reports for the Managing Director HTV. The HTV Business Controller reports into the Group Vessel Management Finance Manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The HTV Business Controller is responsible for leading the Financial & Control function of the HTV business in Oslo
  • The business control functions plays a crucial role in performing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that support corporate decisions of the Managing Director HTV
  • Effectively use available data in support of business decision making
  • Develop fit-for-purpose financial management information and reporting for the HTV business
  • Be the vocal point for all financial related topics to the Managing Director HTV
  • Ensures the project administration, vessel cost centers and personnel cost centers of the HTV business are accurate and complete from both an actual and forecast point of view
  • Facilitate the HTV’s annual budget and 5-year plan process
  • Responsible for Seaway7’s accounting standards, being in line with IFRS and with Seaway7 guidelines
  • Prepares and maintains the internal reporting structure efficiently (finance systems /BFC) to ensure the monthly reporting requirements are met
  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecast
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s future operations

Education, experience and skills:

  • 3-5 years' relevant education within finance and accounting
  • 3-5 years' experience within financial and accounting processes
  • Knowledge and professional experience in developing and maintaining efficient financial processes
  • Proactive and highly developing communication and cooperation skills
  • Structured, service oriented and task focused

Personal Qualities:

We are looking for someone who are structured, analytical and focused on tasks. As you will be working closely with the operational part of the company, you need to have good communication and cooperation skills.

You should have an interest in renewable energy and the green shift, with an understanding on how our transportation vessels can be a part of that shift.
