Your mission 

The Global Projects Centre & Asia Pacific (GPC & AP) is Subsea 7's centre of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide.

Within the Supply Chain department and more especially its Category Management division, you will be responsible for sourcing and early engagement of suppliers to accompany the Energy transition of Subsea7. This is covering a large panel of offshore renewables projects linked to floating wind, hydrogen, carbon capture, etc….

Aside these activities in development, you could also be responsible for managing market consultations, final negotiations, and preparation of fabrication subcontracts (complex products) covering the typical O&G market of SURF structures.

The Senior Engineer is responsible for coordinating all activities related to supply on the following aspects:

  • Perform commercial and contractual analysis, schedule evaluation of bids, and incorporate technical evaluation from Engineering, QA, QC & HSE.
  • Finalise the bid summary and make recommendations to the Project
  • Prepare the drafting and negotiation of the contracts (and framework agreements if any) associated with fabrication
  • Develop commercial expertise in the fabrication category.
  • Participate in sourcing new fabrication suppliers.
  • Develop collaborative relationship with suppliers and knowledge of key suppliers (organization, processes, plants, …)

Your profile 

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Business), Structural or Civil Engineer Degree would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years industry experience; Experience in floating wind, hydrogen would be a plus;
  • Good understanding of the overall technical issue and a good knowledge of the offshore / naval industry and its specificities and of complex items;
  • Technical awareness of fabrication standards for offshore / naval industry;
  • Previous experience in management of fabrication subcontract would be a plus;
  • In addition to the technical and commercial skills described above, the successful candidate will need to be a strong team player with effective communication and relationship skills, as well as appetite for strategic thinking.
