We are looking for a Business Development Manager for Asia Pacific region, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director for the Business Unit (UK, Ireland & AsiaPac). The role will be based in the Asia Pacific with a requirement for regular travel throughout the region.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible to identify and track prospects, develop and implement a compelling ‘Win’ strategy and support the BU1 tender team to secure new business. Through proactive client engagement the Business Development Manager provides the foundations to enable tenders to be successfully delivered and new projects secured.

The role will be focused on targeting new work in Fixed Offshore Wind in our focus countries including Taiwan, Japan, South Korea & Australia. You will be responsible for development of new markets and sales growth within the existing market. In addition, you will establish strategic alliances with other parties in order to increase our chances in this exciting and challenging market.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Maintain a thorough awareness of the market, economic and geopolitical landscape in Asia Pacific and the relationship with Seaway7’s business strategy
  • Development and implementation of Client Engagement Plans and effective management of strategic client & supplier relationships
  • Identification of all prospects in the Asia Pacific region and maintenance of the Client relationship database (C365)
  • Development, implementation and presentation to Senior Management of Pursuit Strategy Plans
  • Work closely with Market Analysts and Sales & Marketing Director to develop the regional strategy and period business planning activities
  • Positioning and prequalifying Seaway7 to receive RFQ’s and ITT’s (Invitation to Tender) within your region and work closely with the BU1 Tender Team during tender phase
  • Monitor and interpret market information sources: media, Governments policy, Client strategy, Suppliers and competitor activity

Profile:

The Business Development Manager will possess a comprehensive understanding of the Fixed Offshore Wind market. They will have a clear awareness of Seaway7, our differentiators and position within the market.

The preference is for the Business Development Manager to be based in Taipei, however this can be discussed further with suitable candidates.

The Business Development Manager shall have/be:

  • Able to efficiently develop and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders and demonstrate appropriate levels of experience with business development, tendering and strategy
  • Committed to the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity acting as an ambassador for Seaway7
  • Strong market awareness and a desire to learn and support Seaway7’s entry into new markets in Asia Pacific
  • Able to regularly travel and work effectively across all countries within the Asia Pacific region
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on regional objectives across multiple offices
  • Possess a strong work ethic, and able to work with others to deliver against demanding schedules
  • Able to identify prospects that align with Seaway7 strengths and where we are able to differentiate over the competition to secure profitable work
  • Able to prepare and present internal and external deliverables to a high standard
