What is the role?

Subsea7 are looking for an HR Manager to join our HR team in Singapore on a full time, permanent basis.  This role will be an integral part of our Global Employment Company (GEC) leadership team who are responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate delivery of a professional HR service throughout the offshore community of Subsea7.

As an HR Manager you will partner with the country General Manager to consult on various business matters relating to HR and provide solutions based on a strong understanding of the industry and country specific insights.  The right candidate will provide critical insights on current and emerging capability gaps by leveraging data, analytics, people assessments and external benchmarking exercises.  You will also be expected to influence and coach the business leaders throughout the company to support the talent strategies.

What will your responsibilities involve?

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues to minimize litigation risk and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Monitor stakeholder satisfaction and drive HR service performance to ensure continuous improvement and customer service mindset
  • Ensure strict compliance with regards to the employment practices and processes for the Global Employment Company and International Payroll
  • Provide specialist advice to Managers and Employees on employee benefits in line with Company policies and supports implementation of initiatives from Group reward
  • Maximises use of Human Resource Information Systems to ensure delivery of accurate and timely information to customers and maintain the accuracy and compliance of data (manual and electronic)
  • Analyses HR metrics on monthly basis to identify trends and suggests appropriate interventions as necessary
  • Assist with the implementation and development of initiatives which promote and develop constructive Employee Relations within throughout the offshore community

What are we looking for?

  • Ideally you will be degree qualified in a Business Administration or Human Resources subject, but consideration will be given to other subjects and relevant work experience
  • You will have a good understanding of HRIS systems with a preference in using SAP
  • You should have strong business acumen with proven ability to articulate key business drivers and objectives and an understanding of the relevant industry insights and practices
  • You will have experience of HR management of a global workforce
  • You should have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interface with widely diverse groups of stakeholders and crew members (HR experience with Crewing from an offshore environment is desirable but not compulsory)
  • You should have strong influencing skills and be adept at navigating effectively through various levels in a matrixed organization
