What is the role?

We are looking for CPS Project Engineers who can be based in our office in Aberdeen - UK on a permanent staff or contract basis.

As a CPS Project Engineer you will support internal stakeholders with the execution of scopes of work for fixed offshore wind CPS and associated equipment.

Main areas of responsibilities:

·       Supporting the procurement team in evaluating the compliance of various Cable Protection Systems (CPS) in terms of design, testing & reliability.

·       Reviewing designs and supplier technical proposals to ensure the suitability of solutions across all functional areas (installation, foundations, scour protection, cable supply, etc.)

·       Assisting the Project Engineering Manager to ensure that the supply package is on time, on budget, and, most importantly, in compliance with the technical requirements and highest quality standards.

·       Maintaining interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.

·       Maintain a record of changes and lessons learned.

·       Possible participation in offshore jobs as part of the operation team in the function of Field Engineer.

From time to time the role holder may also be required to perform any other necessary tasks within their experience and capabilities.

What are we looking for?

  • We encourage applications from those with a relevant Bachelors / Masters degree (for example Mechanical / Marine / Naval Engineering) and will also consider those with equivalent technical qualifications or experience.

  • Previous working experience as a Project Engineer in an umbilical or CPS related environment.

  • Good technical & communication skills.

  • The candidate should be creative, enthusiastic, structured, focused, independent and take ownership in the work.
