  • Participate in all virtual engineering sessions (Al Khobar Office) and gain basic understanding of pipeline installation techniques, capabilities of the latest pipe-lay vessels, equipment, Diving, ROV, Shorepull, Tie-Ins, Flexibles, Reel Lay
  • Familiarize and be conversant with the Company functions such as Detail Design Team, Pipeline Group, Surf, Methods Engineering. It allows appreciation of capabilities to get more involved with different engineering functions and gain confidence to communicate with different teams inside projects.
  • Perform duties as assigned by Mentor or Senior Engineer, and Line-Manager

 

  • Assist Senior Project Engineer in:
    • Development of project-specific procedures for the implementation of work to be carried out by onshore & offshore personnel in accordance with Subsea 7 minimum standards. This may include some liaison directly with clients and subcontractors.
    • Design of installation aids and other equipment required for use offshore or for use onshore in preparation for offshore activities.
    • Selecting suitable equipment to perform operational tasks offshore, checking all aspects of the equipment to ensure it is operated safely and efficiently with suitable certification provided to meet statutory regulations.
    • Monitoring Material requirements, Issue Purchase Requests, follow issuance of Purchase Order with Procurement, and deliveries through coordination with relative Logistic Coordinators.
    • Coordination/compilation of as-built material
    • Developing subsea construction methods (diver- and diverless), including estimation and planning of construction activities with inputs from diving engineer and operations.
    • Witness directly or liaise with Subsea7 Inspectors to ensure that load test, trial fits, are being carried out in accordance with Project minimum requirements.
    • Monitoring of assigned Installation Aids and Permanent Items fabrication through assigned Fabrication Team, ensuring that the company’s quality procedures, relevant codes/standards, and Project requirement all are applied wherever applicable
  • Participate as required in HAZID studies & Task Risk Assessment detailed in the procedures.
  • Co-ordination of other subcontractors’ scope of work (related to Installation Engineering)
  • Participate to the project weekly meeting related to its scope

 

Offshore:

  • Support the Field Engineer Onboard Construction Vessel for installation using the approved Drawings / Procedures / Analysis
  • Be a focal point of interface between Project Management Onshore and Vessel Management Team Offshore and Client Onboard
  • Reporting to Main Office in form of Daily Progress Reports & Conference Calls
