We are looking for a PLM Technical Architect to join our team at Digitalisation team. This role can be based from UK, Norway or France.

Subsea7 is developing a number of Engineering digitalisation initiatives that will bring significant long-term value and benefits to the company. These improvements will be realised through changing and optimising the technical delivery of our Projects with the application of new systems and tools. One of these key initiatives is the implementation of a Product Lifecycle Management Tool to support the technical delivery of our projects. Subsea7 has been working in conjunction with a class leading PLM system provider to develop a PLM system suitable for Subsea7’s needs.

The purpose of the PLM Technical Architect is to provide technical knowledge and guidance during the development and implementation of PLM at Subsea7.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the technical solution of Teamcenter as it is deployed at Subsea 7
  • Provide deep Teamcenter technical expertise to Subsea 7
  • Work closely with the Solution Architect, PLM Implementation Manager and Business Stakeholders ensuring that the solution being developed is fit for purpose and drives value
  • Support the creation of the Solution Blueprint document ensuring it is kept up to date as the solution develops
  • Lead the analysis, design and development of future capability
  • Lead technical workshops on future design capabilities
  • Deliver demos of the solution to the business to achieve sign-off of the solution
  • Coach and guide the Functional Consultants that support the Technical Architect and Solution Architect
  • Lead the functional design of Teamcenter ensuring that it meets business process and application requirements.
  • Review and approve functional specifications and conduct code walk-through as appropriate with the Build Team
  • Act as an advocate of Teamcenter, and introduce best practices, methods, and processes
  • Ensure Azure DevOps is kept up to date with details of configuration and design changes made to Teamcenter
  • Present potential design solutions to the Design Authority
  • Raise Risks & Issues on the solution as required
  • Liaise with Siemens on the proposed design ensure that best practices provided are incorporated

The PLM Technical Architect will:

  • Ensure the solution being delivered is fit for purpose and is aligned to best practices
  • Proactively support and guide the PLM Team, bringing deep knowledge and experience of Teamcenter projects
  • Ensure technical documentation is created and updated containing details of how Teamcenter is implemented at Subsea7
  • Provide technical Teamcenter knowledge to the team

Essential

  • Experience of PLM Teamcenter system implementation on a large scale (> 500 + users)
  • Experience of delivering Solution Blueprints and leading solution development of Teamcenter
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges

Ideal

  • Solution Architecture certification
  • Siemens Teamcenter certifications
  • Experience of engineering and/or industrial organisations
