Develop and implement the Project Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy for the Project collating the input from key Project team members and in accordance with ME SCM policy.  He is responsible to the Project Manager for the success of the SCM activities and deliverables in accordance with agreed schedules, milestones and cost, with focus on meeting the Project’s overall schedule and profitability

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Set up an optimum functional organisation in terms of resources and procedures and ensure that the SCM personnel assigned to the Project are aware and work to approved procedures and in accordance with Subsea7 Business Conduct Policy.
  • Ensure the implementation of HSES Objectives.
  •  Manage the dedicated SCM resources assigned to the Project.
  • Develop and supervise the updating of the Project Procurement Plan and provide regular and accurate status of SCM activities by means of appropriate reports.
  • Review and finalise the Project Bidders Lists based on Company and Subsea7 approved Suppliers Lists and in accordance with the approved SCM Group strategy.
  • Organise the Project SCM Kick off Meeting.
  •  Prepare the Project Special Terms & Conditions of Awards (including flowdowns from the Main Contract) with the assistance of the SCM Contract Engineer.
  • Ensure the enquiries are issued in line with contractual requirements and Subsea7 procedures, liaising with Project Engineering Manager for review of technical clarifications or deviations.
  •  Ensure technical and commercial discussions with Suppliers and Subcontractors take place in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Review bid evaluation tables and recommendations, and ensure their approval by the proper authorised personnel.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Business School / Engineering degree.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the SCM discipline lead role and good knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry at Contractor level.
  •  Project Management experience.

 

PERSONAL SKILLS 

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Creative problem solving - able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working
  • Sound communication skills – able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for discrete work packages ongoing simultaneously.
  • Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions.
