DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

 

The Senior Logistics & Materials Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of specific activities within the team.  This will include ensuring high quality communication with all internal and external parties and a flexible, high quality and timely service to the Projects and other internal clients is critical, particularly as business priorities can change at short notice. 

 

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.  All personnel are expected to provide leadership in code of Ethics and compliance with FCPA and bribery and corruption acts.

 

All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

Generic Key Responsibilities & Activities

 

·               The success of this role depends on good communication with offshore & onshore project teams and the dissemination of useful information

·               Ensures materials and equipment are controlled and processed in accordance with the relevant process map for the function

·               This role Interfaces within the function and with internal departments for guidance on new materials and the supply of internal items for materials demand.

·               The success of this role depends on good communication with offshore & onshore project teams and the dissemination of useful information

·               Must be flexible in approach to work, conscientious in the control of documentation and possess the ability to change priorities as and when business or client needs dictates

·               Considers health & safety as a priority during the duties being undertaken and provides guidance and support to subordinates in the team.

 

AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS

 

·               Operate within the Business Code of Conduct

·               Operate according to Subsea 7's Management Principles

·               Support standards and procedures for the Supply Chain Management Function

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

 

·               Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level working in a materials co-ordination role.

·               Must be computer literate and conversant in the use of e-mail and standard Windows packages.

·               Experience in the use of SAP MM and PTP modules will be considered as being advantageous.

·               An understanding of Export Compliance and local Customs & Excise regulations is also desirable
