We are looking for an experienced reward professional to join our regional HR team and support our countries within AMEC region (Europe, Africa, Middle East and Caspian) – business, HR Service Centres and HR teams with all reward related activities.  This role will allow this professional to influence and support the business with its ambition of being an employer of choice, acting as the focal point for all reward activities and queries.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide reward expertise to the business, working with country HRs and the Group Reward team to support all reward related activities.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert, providing support and guidance on all aspects of reward and taking a hands-on approach to delivery.
  • Proactively monitoring market trends and industry best practice in relation to compensation and benefits.
  • Co-ordination of internal and external salary benchmarking tools and undertaking ad-hoc market reviews to ensure competitiveness.
  • Evaluating roles to ensure correct positioning in the grading structure and alignment on the remuneration framework.
  • Develop salary scales aligned with the markets where we are.
  • Provide technical advice / solutions to compensation/equity matters improvement.
  • Review and align payroll, insurances, and benefits providers across the region.
  • Propose and implement flexible benefit schemes when make sense.
  • Prepare annual salary gap analysis report for the region and propose recommendations.
  • Reviewing and analysing current systems and processes relating to reward to ensure that they are effective.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Must be able to demonstrate previous experience and expertise in a reward role and knowledge of reward and benefits packages.
  • Working knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis tools.
  • Experience working within Middle East, Africa, Caspian and Europe’s markets is highly valued.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and manage customer expectations accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of people, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical, planning and project management skills.
  • Current or previous experience working in consultancy firms is valued.
  • Confident with technology, excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and HRIS (ideally SAP).

  • Sound communication skills – able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for discrete work packages ongoing simultaneously.
  • Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions.
